We want your experience with Fairway to be fantasitic, whether you need to purchase, finance, or service a vehicle! As a third-generation family-owned business, its in our best interest to treat you right, so that you'll come back year after year. At Fairway Ford Lincoln Subaru, our way is the fair way!
Our company was founded in 1961 when J.E. Horne purchased the old Dixie Ford Dealership in downtown Greenville, across from the Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. In May of 1966, Foster McKissick II purchased Horne’s interest, and changed the dealership’s name to Fairway Ford. A year later, Fairway moved into new facilities, regarded by many as the best in the region, on an eight-and a-half acre tract of land on Laurens Road.
On the evening of October 25, 1990, tragedy struck when McKissick was killed in a mysterious plane crash near Georgetown, South Carolina. McKissick’s son, Foster McKissick III, continued on as Fairway’s President. Under the leadership of Foster III (and now Foster IV), Fairway has grown into one of the most well-respected dealerships in the state of South Carolina. We added the Subaru franchise in 2000, and in 2011, we proudly added the Lincoln franchise to our family.
We are so grateful to our wonderful customers and the good people of the Upstate and look forward to serving you for many years to come!
